Jil Sander is back! In her new collaboration with Uniqlo – Jil Sander (the person – not the brand) has delivered on her promise. She has single handedly democratized fashion with a line that has design integrity, quality and extremely good value. And the crowds – which rivaled any of those at an H&M launch – or the Topshop opening – lapped it up. Waiting upwards of an hour in a line that snaked all the way down Broadway – one thing was noticeable – this was a well heeled and fashionably ‘hip’ crowd with a knowledge and appreciation of Sander’s talent. This is not a ‘one hit’ Collection – in and out – and then onto the next – but a collaboration that will go on. We applaud both Uniqlo and Jil Sander who have proven to the world that good design is attainable at ‘value’ pricing – while maintaining the very best quality possible!
