Louis Vuitton opened their new boutique on the Designer floor (3rd floor) of Saks today. And it’s dedicated to the brands apparel line designed by Marc Jacobs. Mannequins thru out the store were dressed ‘head to toe’ in the Fall 2009 Collection – which leads me to ask – who the hell would wear this stuff? Does Madonna shop at Saks? At the recent Vogue sponsored opening night of ‘Model as Muse’, Madonna was seen – resplendent in top to toe Louis Vuitton – thigh high boots, a ruched silk mini dress – and her head – capped off with ‘rabbit’s ears’! Questionable? – uh, maybe, LOL! (And I’m a fan!) Let’s face it – she’s not a tall girl! Safe to say, that as I wandered thru the actual boutique – the line is subtle, luxurious and ‘oh so’ very tasteful. It’s obvious that there is one line for the press – and another for the public. Thank the Lord, I’m sure Mr. Arnault (chairman of LVMH) is saying!
