With ‘shades of gray’ being the newest neutral family we see a reinvention of the humble chino. The newest neutral is gray and looks fabulous in not just chinos but also cargo pocket pants and shorts. Grays work in a range of subtle hues – from pale and icy to charcoal. Gray toned plaids and stripes have major appeal. If you are looking to renew sales on your chino program, I would strongly suggest adding these new neutral shades. And come the new Fall season, we also certainly expect to see a strong representation of black – washed down for vintage appeal.
