J.Crew premiered their new concept ‘Men-Only’ store at 484 Broadway – in Soho – today (right next door to Topshop!). This approx. 3500 sq. ft. store is a curated mix of the very best on offer from J.Crew plus a select assortment of ‘third party’ brands – like Thomas Mason shirts, Alden shoes, Superior Label canvas bags, Mackintosh coats, Red Wing boots and Mr. Freedom tees. J.Crew is breaking the rules in an effort to make the store an eclectic mix that will appeal to their customer. Once again, we see a savvy retailer that understands the way a man wants to dress – and that’s not head to toe in one brand – or label. The store has a masculine feel with antique furniture, reclaimed pine fixtures, black accents and metal moldings. The apparel offering is well edited, high quality and extremely good value – a winning combination. And if you want a quick portrait pop in this week as an instore artist is available to sketch your likeness! What a great idea!
